GERMAN CHOCOLATE BARS 
4 oz. caramels
2/3 c. evaporated milk
1 pkg. German chocolate cake mix
1/2 c. melted butter
1 1/2 c. chopped nuts
6 oz. chocolate chips

Melt caramels with 1/3 cup evaporated milk; stir until smooth. Combine cake mix with melted butter and remaining 1/3 cup evaporated milk. Press half of cake mixture into the bottom of a 13x9 inch pan. Bake at 350 degrees for 6 minutes. Place chocolate chips and 1 cup chopped nuts over baked crust. Top with caramel mixture; then top with other half of cake mixture. Top with remaining 1/2 cup chopped nuts. Bake at 350 degrees for 20 minutes. Cut into bars when cooled.
