FUNNEL CAKE 
1 1/2 c. flour
1/4 tsp. salt
3/4 tbsp. baking powder
2 tbsp. sugar
1/2 tsp. baking soda
1 egg, beaten
2/3 c. milk

Sift dry ingredients together in a separate bowl. Mix eggs and milk together and add to dry ingredients. Beat until smooth. Holding finger over bottom of funnel, pour in some batter, remove finger and let batter drop in a spiral motion into pan filled with 1 inch of hot oil (375 degrees). Fry until golden brown turning once.

Remove from pan and drain on paper towels. Sprinkle with powdered sugar. Serve hot.
