SOUTHERN SOFT GINGERBREAD | |
1 c. sugar 1 c. molasses (Gold Label) 1/2 c. butter 3 c. sifted flour 1 c. sour cream 2 tsp. ginger 2 tsp. cinnamon 1 tsp. cloves 1/2 tsp. nutmeg 2 eggs, well beaten 1 tsp. baking soda dissolved in 1/4 c. boiling water Cream the butter and sugar, add the eggs and molasses, mix well. Sift the flour and spices, add alternately with the sour cream. Stir in the dissolved soda. Pour in long well greased baking pan. Bake in moderate oven at 350 for 30 minutes. |
