CHICKEN PAPRIKA 
1 roasting chicken, cut up
1 lg. onion, diced
2 c. water
2 cloves garlic
2 tbsp. butter
Salt & pepper to taste
1 pt. half & half
1/4 tsp. paprika
4 stalks celery, cut up
3 tbsp. cornstarch

Brown chicken in butter until brown. Add all the other ingredients except cornstarch and half & half. Roast in oven at 350 degrees until chicken is tender. Remove chicken and blend the juices until smooth. If you need more gravy at this point, add water. Get the gravy warm again, but not boiling. Add half & half and thicken with cornstarch. This can be served with any of the dumpling recipes in this book.
