OUTSIDE IN BURGERS 
1 1/2 lbs. ground beef
1 tsp. salt
1/8 tsp. pepper
4 thinly sliced onion rings
4 thin slices tomato
4 slices cheese
4 tsp. mustard
4 tsp. mayonnaise
Lettuce leaves
4 hamburger buns, toasted

Mix meat with salt and pepper. Divide into 8 portions. Flatten each portion out to make rounds. Top 4 patties with 1 slice each onion, tomato and cheese. Top next 4 patties with mustard and mayonnaise. Place mustard patties carefully on top of onion topped patties. Press out any air bubbles and seal edges well. Broil or grill until done to your taste. Top with lettuce and place in buns. Serves 4.
