MARZIPAN STRUDEL 
1/2 lb. almond paste
3 c. confectionery sugar
1/2 c. almond slivers
1/2 c. raisins (opt.)
1 egg white
1 pkg. Phillo dough or French pastry dough (from frozen food section)

Combine almond paste, egg white and half of sugar, knead into smooth paste. Roll out to cookie sheet size. Layer between dough sheets with the raisins sprinkled over the marzipan layer if desired. Bake according to dough directions or approximately 20 minutes at 375 degrees.

Sprinkle with almond slivers and splashes (or stripes) of thin frosting by adding a few spoons of water to the remaining sugar.
