MINI CHIP STRUDEL ROLL 
1/2 c. chocolate chips
1/2 c. walnuts or pecans, chopped
1/3 c. sugar
1 tsp. cinnamon
1 (17 1/4 oz.) pkg. frozen puff pastry, 2 sheets thawed 30 minutes
1 egg
1 tsp. water

Preheat over 375 degrees.

In a small bowl, mix together chocolate chips, nuts, sugar and cinnamon. On a lightly floured pastry cloth using a rolling pin, roll each puff pastry sheet into a 14 x 11 inch rectangle. Sprinkle each sheet with half of chocolate nut mixture, spreading to within 1/2 inch of edges. Roll up dough from long side jelly roll fashion. Mix an egg and brush over the top of rolls. Take a knife, cut rolls crosswise into 1 inch pieces. Separate pieces and place 1 inch apart on ungreased cookie sheet. Bake for 13 to 15 minutes or until they are golden brown. Let cool 5 minutes on cookie sheet. Then loosen and remove, then let cool. Makes 28.
