GRANNY'S YEAST ROLLS 
3/4 c. sugar
7 c. flour, sifted
1 c. powdered milk
1/2 tsp. salt
3 pkgs. Rapid Rise yeast
3 c. warm water
1 c. Crisco butter shortening (can substitute butter)

In glass or stainless steel bowl mix yeast and sugar together. Add water. Have shortening ready to pour in yeast and sugar mixture. Add flour, powder milk and salt; blend well. Sit aside to rise. May require more flour to keep mixture from sticking to counter top. Bake in oven at 350 to 375 degrees for 10 minutes or until golden brown. Makes 3 dozen.
