QUICK DINNER ROLLS 
3/4 c. warm water
1 pkg. dry yeast
1/4 c. sugar
2 1/4 c. sifted flour
1 egg
1/4 c. soft shortening
1 tsp. salt

Dissolve yeast in water. Add sugar, salt, and half of the flour. Beat 2 minutes. Add eggs, shortening, and gradually beat in the rest of the flour. Beat until smooth. Let rise about 40-50 minutes. Stir down batter and drop into muffin tins. Let rise about 30 minutes or until double in bulk. Bake about 10-15 minutes at 400 degrees. Makes 12-15 rolls.
