CHINESE STYLE VEGETABLES 
1 sm. bunch broccoli, cut into bite-size pieces
1/2 head cauliflower, cut into bite-size pieces
5 carrots, sliced diagonally
2 tbsp. olive oil
1/2 tbsp. soy sauce
1 tsp. oyster sauce (found in Chinese food section of most stores)
1 tsp. sugar
2 tbsp. water
Optional extras: bok choy, sliced; water chestnuts, snow peas

In frying pan or wok, heat oil until very hot. Add vegetables, stirring frequently. Add garlic, stir and continue to cook until slightly tender. Add soy sauce, oyster sauce, sugar and water. Mix and cover and steam for a few minutes. Serve.
