3 3/4 c. white sugar
1 1/4 c. white corn syrup
1 c. hot water

Boil to crack stage (300 degrees). Use thermometer. Add 1+ teaspoon flavoring oil (comes in tiny bottle at drug store) and food coloring. Mix quickly and pour on foil lined cookie sheets. Crack when hard. Soak pan in hot water immediately or you will have a mess. Make batches of red and green for Christmas.
