SKILLET PILAF 
3 tbsp. butter
Uncooked instant or converted rice (enough for 6 servings)
1 sm. onion, chopped
2 tsp. instant beef bouillon or beef bouillon cubes
1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. ground cardamom
1/4 tsp. turmeric
1/4 tsp. allspice
1/8 tsp. pepper
1 (4 oz.) can mushrooms, drained

Melt butter in large skillet, cook and stir rice in butter until brown. Remove from heat. Stir in amount of water as directed on package for 6 servings and add remaining ingredients. Cook as directed on package or until liquid is absorbed and rice is tender.
