GRANDMA'S CINNAMON APPLES | |
6 apples 1 c. water 1 c. sugar 1/2 c. vinegar 1/3 c. red cinnamon candies Peel apples, cut in half, remove core. Cook sugar, water and cinnamon candies for 5 minutes. Add apples and cook slowly until apples are tender, basting often. If a deeper red color is desired, add a few drops of red food coloring. Chill apples. (These are very good with roast pork.) |
