BAR-B-QUE CHICKEN MADE IN
ELECTRIC FRY PAN OR OVEN
 
Bar-b-que sauce
1 c. vinegar
2 tbsp. sugar
2 tbsp. Worcestershire sauce
1/2 c. catsup
1 tsp. salt, optional
1 tsp. dry mustard
1 tsp. paprika
1/2 tsp. pepper

Combine all ingredients together. Stir well and bring to a boil. Simmer 15 to 20 minutes.

Preheat fry pan 360 degrees add oil, shortening, or butter enough to brown cut up 3 lb. chicken or chicken parts you prefer. Brown well or all sides approximately 12 to 15 minutes. Remove chicken drain excess oil or shortening. Set dial 260 degrees put chicken back in fry pan, cover with Bar-b-que sauce (use recipe above or your own favorite type). Cover pan and cook 20 minutes turn chicken add more sauce replace cover open vent cook another 15 to 20 minutes, until chicken is done. Won't be crispy but very tasty.

For oven, preheat 350 degrees. Place chicken in roasting pan cover with sauce. Bake 30 minutes. Turn chicken add more sauce continue to bake 30 minutes more.

It was nice to find a recipe where I can use my electric pan... the only thing is, the temperatures suggested were way too high and I burned my chicken... thank goodness I noticed that the chicken was burning so not all was lost. I used my own favorite BBQ sauce...
