EXCELLENT BUTTERMILK BISCUITS 
2 c. cake flour
4 tbsp. (level) Crisco
4 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. baking soda
1/4 tsp. salt
1 c. buttermilk

Mix dry ingredients together and then add buttermilk. Bake at 475 to 500 degrees. A hotter oven is necessary for this kind of biscuit.
