HOMEMADE BISCUITS
Self-rising flour
1 c. buttermilk
Crisco

Sift flour into a large mixing bowl. Fill bowl over half full. Pack the flour in the center just enough to keep milk from breaking out of hold until you get your dough mixed up. Pour in milk and Crisco. Just dig down and get an handful. Work with your hands. Work up the flour, milk and Crisco; knead until you can keep it together to take off enough for a biscuit. (If you don't make it to please yourself, try again! It sure takes practice to make perfect.)
