1 med. apple, pared, cored and sliced (3/4 c.)
1/2 c. chopped onion
1 (31 oz.) can pork and beans
6 oz. smoked sausage links thinly sliced
1/4 c. raisins
2 tbsp. catsup
2 tsp. prepared mustard
1/4 tsp. cinnamon
Dash of cayenne

In small saucepan cook apple and onion in small amount of boiling water about 5 minutes or until crisp-tender. Drain.

In large mixing bowl stir together cooked apple and onion, the beans, sausage, raisins, catsup, mustard, cinnamon and cayenne. Turn bean mixture into a 1 1/2 quart casserole. Bake uncovered at 375 degrees for 1 hour to 1 1/4 hours, stirring once. Serves 8.
