TOSSED TACO SALAD 
1 head lettuce, torn
2 tomatoes, diced
1 bunch green onions, sliced
12 oz. Cheddar cheese, grated
1 pkg. (12 oz.) taco chips
1 1/2 lb. ground beef
1/2 onion, diced
Taco sauce
1 tsp. chili powder
1 tsp. cumin powder
1 can (30 oz.) pinto beans, drained

Brown ground beef and diced onion. Drain thoroughly. Add pinto beans, chili powder and cumin powder. Heat in microwave for about 5 minutes.

Meanwhile, mix lettuce, tomatoes, green onions, cheese and taco chips together. Add ground beef-bean mixture to salad while hot. Toss. Serve with taco sauce or salsa. Serves 8. This is a complete meal and one of my family's favorite.

Since microwave ovens vary in power, you may need to adjust your cooking time.
