HONEY BREAD 
5 c. very warm water
1 1/4 c. vegetable oil, corn oil, or butter flavored shortening, melted
1 1/4 c. honey
6 tsp. salt
4 c. flour mixed with 5 env. yeast or a little under 1/2 cup
1 c. powdered milk

Mix first 4 ingredients. Add remaining ingredients a little at a time. Add another sifter (4 cups) flour and mix well. Let rise 1 hour or until double in bulk in warm place out of draft. Add 8 more cups of flour or enough to make firm dough.

Turn out on floured board and knead in enough flour to make a very firm dough. Let rise in warm place until double. Place in 6 (1 1/2 pound loaf pans which have been greased with vegetable shortening. Let rise double and bake at 410 degrees for 10 minutes. Reduce heat to 350 degrees and bake 40-50 minutes. Degrees of oven may vary.

Using butter-flavor shortening makes a very moist bread.
