BASTING SAUCE FOR BARBECUE 
1/2 c. butter
1/2 c. bacon drippings
3 tbsp. lemon juice
1 tbsp. Worcestershire sauce
1 tsp. salt
1 tsp. pepper
2 tsp. chili powder
2 c. water

In a saucepan, combine butter, bacon drippings, lemon juice and Worcestershire sauce. Cook over low heat until butter melts. Dissolve chili powder, salt, pepper, and garlic powder in water and add to butter mixture. Bring to a boil, lower heat and simmer 15 minutes. Yields: 3 1/2 cups.
