1 (16 oz.) pkg. of powdered sugar, sifted (4 3/4 c.) 1 1/2 c. creamy peanut butter 1/2 c. butter, softened 1 tsp. vanilla 1 sm. pkg. (12 oz.) semi-sweet chocolate pieces 1/2 tsp. salt 2 sq. (2 oz.) paraffin Thoroughly blend powdered sugar, peanut butter, butter, vanilla and salt. Shape into 1/2 inch balls. Place chocolate pieces and paraffin in top of double boiler. Heat over boiling water until chocolate and paraffin are melted (water in bottom of double boiler should not touch top of pan). Insert a toothpick into candy ball; dip 3/4 of the ball into melted chocolate mixture. Place on wax paper until set. Remove toothpicks and smooth over holes. Place in small bon-bon cups; if desired. Makes 8 dozen. |
