TAMALE PIE 
1 1/2 lb. ground meat
1 sm. chopped onion
1 sm. green pepper, chopped
12 oz. can tomato paste
1/4 tsp. oregano
1/4 tsp. thyme
Few sprinkles garlic powder
Salt and pepper to taste
Corn meal mush
Sliced American cheese
Stuffed green olives
Parmesan cheese

Brown meat; add onion, pepper and tomato sauce; simmer while you cook corn meal mush.

CORN MEAL MUSH:

3 1/4 c. water
1 tsp. salt
1 1/4 c. yellow corn meal
1 c. cold water

Boil 3 1/4 cups water and salt over medium heat. Mix corn meal with 1 cup cold water. Add mixture to boiling water slowly, stirring constantly. Cook over low heat about 5 minutes. Use casserole dish approximately 112 x 8 inches. Put in layers of meat (thin), cover with thin layer of mush, then thin layer of cheese and olives. Repeat with meat, mush and cheese. Top with slices of green olives and sprinkle with Parmesan cheese. Bake 350 degrees for 30 minutes.
