CHOCO - O - NUT CARAMEL BARS 
1 (11 1/2 oz.) bag chocolate morsels
2 tbsp. shortening
1 (14 oz.) pkg. Kraft caramels
5 tbsp. butter
2 tbsp. water
1 c. chopped peanuts

Melt chocolate chips and shortening over hot water until melted and smooth. Pour 1/2 of mixture into foiled and greased 8 x 8 inch pan. Refrigerate for 15 minutes. Return remaining chocolate to low heat.

In another pan melt caramels, butter and water until smooth. Add nuts. Pour over chocolate mixture. Refrigerate until tacky (15 minutes). Top with remaining chocolate. Chill until firm.
