MEXICAN CASSEROLE 
1 med. onion, chopped
2 tbsp. oil
1 (1 lb. 12 oz.) can tomatoes
1 pkg. taco seasoning mix
1 (4 oz.) can green chiles, chopped
1 (5 1/2 oz.) pkg. Nacho cheese tortilla chips, slightly crushed
1/2 to 3/4 lb. Jack cheese, grated
1 c. sour cream
1/2 c. Cheddar cheese, grated

1/2 pound hamburger may be cooked with the onion, if desired.

Cook onion until tender. Add tomatoes and taco seasoning. Add green chiles. Cook uncovered about 10 minutes until rather thick.

Layer ingredients in this order in a 9x13 pan:

Half the sauce

All the crushed chips

Half the Jack cheese

Remaining sauce

Jack cheese on top

Spread sour cream on top.
