NORWAY: KRINGLAS COOKIES 
1 c. sour cream
1 c. buttermilk
1 1/4 c. sugar
2 rounded tbsp. shortening
3 egg yolks
4 c. flour
1 tsp. salt
2 tsp. baking powder
1/4 tsp. nutmeg or use 1 tsp. vanilla

Sift flour with salt and baking powder. Mix all ingredients in order given; place in refrigerator for 1 hour or overnight. Roll out dough on floured board, one tablespoon at a time, into a long, thin sausage shape. Place in the form of a figure 8 on a greased cookie sheet. Bake at 400 degrees for about 8 to 10 minutes.
