BACON WRAPPED WATER CHESTNUTS | |
1 lb. bacon 2 cans water chestnuts 2/3 c. brown sugar (dark) 1 tsp. mustard, dry 1 tsp. Worcestershire sauce 2 tsp. butter 2 tbsp. ketchup 1 tsp. soy sauce Preheat oven to 375°F. Wrap each chestnut in 1/2 strip of bacon, secure with toothpick. Bake for 45 minutes or until bacon is done. Make sauce with remaining ingredients and pour over chestnuts. Serve in chafing dish and keep warm as sauce gets too thick when it is cold. |
