PINEAPPLE PARTY MEATLOAF | |
I love this recipe! 1 (12 oz.) can pineapple slices (with juice) 3 slices of bread (I like sourdough) 3 lb. ground turkey 1 1/2 tbsp. garlic salt 2 tbsp. sugar 1 egg 1 tbsp. hot sauce (or to your liking) TOPPING: brown sugar ketchup (Hunts) First off set the oven to 350°F. Pour pineapple juice into a small bowl and take 4 pineapple slices out of the can. Chop pineapple slices into chunks and toss into a large bowl. Chop up the bread into small cubes, toss in bowl. Add all other ingredients. Mix together, slowly adding pineapple juice until your meatloaf is lightly saturated. Roll the mixture into two separate loaves. Pour a slight amount of juice on top of each loaf. Let bake for 45 minutes and then top with a combination of brown sugar, remaining pineapple juice and ketchup. Place the remaining pineapple slices on top of the meatloaf and let it go. Cook until they the right consistency for your family. For me its about 1 1/2 hours. Submitted by: Jody Rae |
