PICKLED OKRA 
Fresh tender okra
1 clove garlic per pint
1 hot pepper per pint
1 tsp. dill seed per pint
1 qt. vinegar
1 c. water
1/2 c. salt

Place garlic and pepper in bottom of hot jars. Remove part of stem from okra leaving a small part. Pack okra firmly in jars. Add dill seed. Bring vinegar water and salt to boiling, simmer for 5 minutes. Pour over okra in jars and seal.

NOTE: Makes enough pickling solution for about 6 pints.
