PORK CHOP AND APPLESAUCE GRAVY | |
3 lbs. pork chops 1 tbsp. finely chopped garlic 1/3 c. flour 1 tbsp. salt 1/8 tsp. pepper 3 c. boiling water 1 (#2) can applesauce 1 tbsp. lemon juice In heated skillet, brown pork chops well on both sides without adding fat. Arrange in a 3-quart casserole. Saute garlic in fat left in skillet. Add water, flour, salt and pepper. Mix well and cook, stirring constantly, until mixture thickens and boils. Add lemon juice and applesauce mix and pour over chops. Bake in a 350 degree oven for 1 1/2 hours or until tender. |
