1 lb. beef top round, 1/2" thick Juice of 1-2 limes (1/3 c.) 1 - 1 1/2 tsp. garlic salt 1/2 tsp. pepper Flour tortillas, warmed Sour cream 1 c. shredded lettuce 1 c. chopped tomato 1/4 c. green onions Shredded cheese Trim excess fat from steak. Pound to 1/4" thick. Place in plastic bag; sprinkle both sides with lime juice, garlic salt and pepper. Tie bag securely and marinate in refrigerator 6 to 8 hours. Drain marinade; discard. Broil steak over medium hot coals 2 to 3 minutes on each side. Carve across grain into thin slices. Serve as you would serve tacos. Steak may also be panbroiled in a heavy non-stick frying pan over medium high heat 5 to 7 minutes, turning occasionally. Fry onions with this, makes it really good. |
