RAISIN CRISPIES 
3/4 c. raisins
1/2 c. shortening
1/4 c. water
1 tsp. vanilla
1 c. brown sugar
3/4 c. flour
1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. cinnamon
1 1/2 c. rolled oats

Rinse raisins in the water and drain. Combine with shortening and heat only until soft. Combine the dry ingredients and add to the shortening and raisins. Drop by teaspoon onto baking sheet. Bake 10 minutes at 350 degrees. Makes about 3 dozen cookies.
