BANANA POPPY SEED BREAD | |
2 ripe bananas 1 egg 1/2 c. sugar 1/4 c. vegetable oil 1/2 c. milk 2 1/2 tsp. poppy seeds 1 1/2 c. flour 2 tsp. baking powder 1/2 tsp. salt 1/4 tsp. baking soda Preheat oven to 400 degrees. 1. Mash with a fork the bananas in a small bowl. 2. Put into a large bowl and mix egg, sugar and oil. Add and mix milk, poppy seed and bananas. 3. Sift into small bowl flour, baking powder, salt and baking soda. 4. Add flour mixture all at one time to liquid mixture. Using a wooden spoon, stir just until dry ingredients are moistened. 5. Pour batter into a greased loaf pan. 6. Bake at 400 degrees for 10 minutes. Turn oven down to 350 degrees. Bake 50 minutes until toothpick comes clean. |
