BREAKFAST CASSEROLE
4 slices raisin bread
1 (16 oz.) can sliced pears
6 oz. Monterey Jack cheese
1/4 lb. cooked ham
1 3/4 c. milk
1/4 c. all-purpose flour
4 lg. eggs
Parsley for garnish, if desired

About 1 hour before serving, preheat oven to 350 degrees. Toast bread, cut into 1-inch pieces. Drain pears and pat dry with paper towel. Cut pears into 1/2 inch chunks. Coarsely shred cheese and dice the ham. In large bowl, toss bread, pears, cheese and ham.

In medium bowl with fork or whisk, mix milk, flour and eggs until blended. Divide bread mixture into custard cups or 4 small 12 oz. casseroles. Pour egg mixture over ingredients in cups. You can place cups on cookie sheet or jelly roll pan to handle easier and bake 30 to 40 minutes until custard is set and inserted knife comes out clean. Garnish, if desired. Makes 4 servings.
