LYDIA'S WHISKEY CAKE 
4 eggs
1 c. milk
1/2 c. salad oil
1 pkg. Duncan Hines yellow cake mix
1 pkg. vanilla pudding
1 c. chopped nuts
14-16 maraschino cherries (cut in half)

Beat eggs and milk, add oil and beat again. Add cake mix, beat until smooth, add nuts and stir well.

Place cherry halves along bottom of well oiled bundt pan. Pour in batter.

Bake in preheated 350 degree oven for 45-50 minutes total

WHISKEY SAUCE:

elt together in saucepan:

1/2 stick sweet butter
1/2 c. sugar
1/3 c. whiskey

Combine and keep warm.

Pour 1/2 of sauce over cake after it has been baking 35 minutes. Pour rest of sauce over cake after it has finished baking and you turn it out of pan.
