MINCEMEAT SQUARES 
1/2 c. butter
1 c. brown sugar
1 c. mincemeat
2 eggs
1 tsp. rum extract
1 1/2 c. flour
1/2 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 c. chopped nuts
1/3 c. butter
1 tbsp. milk
2 c. sifted powdered sugar

Cream 1/2 cup butter and brown sugar. Blend in mincemeat, eggs and rum extract. Combine flour, baking powder and salt; add to creamed mixture and mix well. Stir in chopped nuts. Pour into greased 9 x 13 inch pan. Bake 40 to 45 minutes at 350 degrees. Cool. Cream remaining ingredients and spread over bars.
