BLACKBERRY UGLY BARS 
1 c. flour
1 stick butter
3 tbsp. confectioners' sugar
2 eggs, slightly beaten
1 c. sugar
1/2 c. coconut
1/4 c. flour
1/2 tsp. baking powder
1/4 tsp. salt
1 tsp. vanilla
3/4 c. chopped nuts
1 1/2 c. blackberries

Heat oven to 350 degrees. Mix 1 cup flour, butter and confectioners' sugar until smooth. Spread thin with fingers on ungreased square pan. Bake about 25 minutes. Stir rest of the ingredients into eggs. Spread over top of baked pastry (no need to cool). Bake about 25 minutes. Cool. Cut into bars. Makes 18 bars.
