ANGEL FLAKE BISCUITS 
1 pkg. yeast
2 tbsp. lukewarm water
1 c. shortening
5 c. flour
3/4 tsp. baking powder
1 c. sugar
1 tsp. salt
1 tsp. baking soda
2 c. sour milk or buttermilk

Dissolve yeast in warm water. Put dry ingredients (except baking soda) in a bowl. Melt shortening. Add milk and soda to melted shortening. Add dry and wet ingredients. Knead. Drop large spoonfuls on cookie sheet. Bake on ungreased cookie sheet at 400 degrees for 20 minutes.
