TEXAS ALMOND CRUNCH COOKIES 
1 c. sugar
1 c. powdered sugar
1 c. soft butter
1 c. oil
2 tsp. almond extract
2 eggs
4 1/2 c. flour
1 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. salt
1 tsp. cream of tartar
2 c. chopped almonds
6 or 7.8 oz. pkg. almond brickle baking chips
Sugar for flattening

Mix together. Roll into small balls. Place on ungreased cookie sheet, flatten with fork dipped in sugar. Bake at 350 degrees for 12 to 18 minutes. Cookies get really big while baking so leave room on sheet.
