SOUR DOUGH OAT-CHIP COOKIES 
1 c. shortening
1 c. brown sugar
1 c. granulated sugar
2 eggs
1/2 c. sour dough See starter recipe
2 c. flour
1 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. salt
1 tsp. vanilla
2 c. uncooked rolled oats
1 c. chocolate chips
1 c. chopped nuts

In large bowl cream shortening and sugars. Add eggs and sour dough. Mix in flour, soda, baking powder and salt. Add vanilla. Mix well. Stir in oats, chocolate chips and nuts. Drop by rounded tsp. 2 inches apart on greased cookie sheet. Bake 350 degrees for 12-15 minutes. Makes 6 dozen.
