SOUR CREAM - LEMON PIE 
1 1/2 c. sugar
4 tbsp. corn starch
1 1/2 c. milk
5 egg yolks
1/2 c. lemon juice, (4 lemons)
1 stick butter
1 (8 oz.) sour cream

Stir sugar and corn starch together. Add egg yolks, milk and lemon juice. Put in butter and cook on medium heat until thicken, stirring constantly. Remove from heat and add sour cream. Pour into cooked pie crust. Makes 2 pies. Put meringue on top of pies.

MERINGUE FOR PIES:

5 egg whites
3/4 tsp. cream of tartar
10 tbsp. sugar

Whip egg white and cream of tartar until foamy. Slowly add sugar while beating until stiff peaks form. Spread over pie filling and brown in preheated oven 400 degrees for 8 to 10 minutes.
