TORTA GELATO AL CHOCOLATO 
CRUST:

1 1/2 c. crushed chocolate wafers
1/3 c. melted butter

FILLING:

8 oz. cream cheese
1/2 c. sugar
1 tsp. vanilla
2 eggs, separated
6 oz. pkg. chocolate chips, melted
3/4 c. chopped pecans or almonds
1 c. heavy cream, whipped

Crust: Mix ingredients. Press into bottom of 9 inch spring form pan. Bake at 325 degrees for 10 minutes. Cool.

Filling: Combine cream cheese, 1/4 cup sugar and vanilla. Mix well. Stir in egg yolks and chocolate. Beat egg whites in another bowl till soft peaks form. Gradually beat in 1/4 cup sugar. Fold into chocolate mixture. Beat cream. Fold into mixture with nuts. Pour into crust and freeze. Remove from freezer 30 minutes before serving.
