GREEN HOT PEPPER JELLY | |
1/4 c. ground hot green peppers 3/4 c. ground bell peppers 1 1/2 c. apple cider vinegar 6 1/2 c. sugar 1 bottle Certo NOTE: IMPORTANT: Wear rubber gloves while cleaning and preparing peppers for jelly. Remove seeds from peppers. Grind or cut very fine the hot green peppers and bell peppers. Pour juice over peppers. Add sugar and vinegar and mix well in large saucepan. Boil 10 minutes. Remove from heat add Certo. Stir well. Add a few drops of either green or red food coloring. Cool slightly and put in glass jars. Turn upside down to seal. This is a simple recipe and is very good served with meats. Also can be used as Hors D'oeuvres by simply putting cream cheese on a plate, topping with jelly and putting crackers around it. |
