BAKED APPLES AND SWEET POTATOES 
SYRUP:

1 c. water
1/2 c. white sugar
1/2 c. brown sugar
2 tbsp. cornstarch
1 stick butter

Mix above ingredients and cook until thick. Arrange alternate rows of sweet potatoes and apples in casserole. Pour syrup over all and bake at 350 degrees until brown. May use either canned or fresh sweet potatoes. (If fresh, cook prior to baking.)
