NEVER FAIL PIE CRUST 
3 c. flour
1 1/2 c. shortening
1 egg, beaten
1/3 tsp. salt
1 tsp. vinegar
5 tbsp. water

Mix flour, shortening and salt together. Mix beaten egg with water and vinegar. Add to flour mixture, stir with fork. Makes crust enough for 2 (2 crust) pies. Will keep in a plastic bag in refrigerator for several days.
