OKRA AND TOMATOES 
1 lg. onion, chopped
2 ribs celery, chopped
1 tbsp. bacon grease
1 lb. fresh okra, sliced
1 1/4 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. paprika
2 1/2 c. fresh tomatoes OR
16 oz. can tomatoes in their liquid
1/4 tsp. curry powder (heaping)
2 tsp. brown sugar

Saute onion and celery in bacon grease. Add okra and cook 5 minutes. Add remaining ingredients. Cover and cook until tender; about 30 minutes. Serve it.
