CRANBERRY PASTRY ROLLS | |
2 cups cranberries 1/2 cup raisins 1 cup nut meats 1/2 cup sugar 1/2 cup shortening 1 1/2 cups flour 1/2 teaspoon salt Ice water 2 tablespoons melted butter Chop cranberries, raisins and nuts, add sugar. Cut shortening into flour and salt, add just enough ice water to form a stiff dough; 3 to 4 tablespoons. Roll out on floured board, brush with melted butter, cut in 4-inch squares. Spread with cranberry mixture. Roll up like jelly roll. Bake in very hot oven, 450°F., for about 20 minutes. |
