CHEESE DANISH | |
2 pkgs. (8 oz. each) cream cheese (softened) 3/4 c. sugar 1 egg (separated) 2 tsp. lemon juice 1 tsp. vanilla flavoring 2 cans crescent rolls (lg. size) Mix cream cheese, sugar, egg yolk, lemon juice and flavoring until well blended. Set aside. Line a 9x12 pan or dish with one can of crescent rolls. (Do not tear apart at the perforations.) Spread cream cheese mixture over dough. Spread remaining can of crescent rolls over top of cream cheese mixture. Brush top layer of dough with egg white. Bake at 350 degrees for 20- 25 minutes. Chill in pan overnight. Cut into squares the next morning. You can substitute strawberry or pineapple cream cheese instead of plain if desired. |
