MOM'S PENNSYLVANIA DUTCH BACON
DRESSING
 
1-3 slices bacon, cooked
Bacon drippings
1 tbsp. flour
1 egg, well beaten
2 tbsp. sugar
2 tbsp. vinegar
1 scant tsp. salt
3/4 c. milk

Combine egg, flour, sugar, vinegar, and salt; mix well. Add the milk, crumbled bacon and the bacon drippings. Boil on a low heat only until thick; do not over cook (it may become thin). Pour over lettuce or endive when ready to serve. Top with hard boiled egg slices.
