HAWAIIAN BEEF | |
2 cloves garlic, cut up 1 1/2 lb. sirloin steak, cut in strips or chicken breasts 3 stalks celery 1 c. carrots, cut in different shapes 1 sm. onion or green onion, cut up 1 (16 oz.) can water chestnuts 1 1/2 c. water (add beef bouillon to water) 3 tbsp. soy sauce 1 tbsp. cornstarch In small amount of oil in frying pan cook garlic. Add meat and brown. Take out of oil, place meat in bowl. Add vegetables to oil that meat was fried in. Stir fry 10 minutes, add water chestnuts. Add beef bouillon mixture, soy sauce, cornstarch (diluted). Thicken slightly. Add meat mixture, cook together a few minutes. Serve over unsalted or slightly salted rice. |
