1 1/2 lbs. ground beef
1/2 lb. sausage meat
1 egg
1/2 c. milk
1/4 tsp. pepper
1/2 tsp. allspice
1 med. onion, grated
1 c. soft bread crumbs
1 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. nutmeg
1/8 tsp. ginger

Combine all ingredients, mixing lightly but thoroughly. Shape in a loaf. Bake in moderate oven (350 degrees) about 1 1/4 hours. Serves 8.
